Curriculum

The learning and academic content taught in CSA Schools align to academic competencies for British standard education and Nigerian Syllabus.

Teachers in all grade levels and in every subject help students draw inspiration from each students’ strengths, interests, needs and curiosities. As they learn to work both collaboratively and independently, our students develop the knowledge, tools and skills they need now and in the future.

STEM

In City Stars Academy, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education engages students in interdisciplinary, inquiry based, real-world problem solving. Students use higher order thinking skills to ask questions, investigate and create solutions. They use data to reflect, analyze and refine their solutions. Finally, they evaluate and communicate those results. Our approach to STEM is both programmatic and integrated within all courses.

Learning Technology

Our students' success is rooted in the future. Students master academic and real-world skills today that will be in demand when they graduate.
We believe that technology is going to play an important role in that future.

Throughout history, humans have created technology to satisfy their wants and needs. Much of modern technology is a product of science and engineering, and technological tools are used in both fields.

Assessment & Data Analytics

Assessment and Analysis of students’ results at City Stars Academy provide timely, accurate and meaningful information to staffs, the school community and stakeholders about performance and unique capabilities of each child. This helps our staff to create effective approach to helping each child learn better, thus, making our school a world-class learning community.

Career Readiness

Each student is on their own journey. Our job at City Stars Academy Schools is to help students discover and prepare for their unique life, education and career path – from early childhood to secondary school. When students leave the walls of City Stars Academy, we want them to have mastery over essential skills required for life, education and career success; exposure to tertiary-level rigor; and, a sense of career paths that may bring them joy and success. Language & Lingusitics

Students at all grade levels learn to utilize the artistic process of language and linguistics to create or make, perform or present, respond or interpret and connect or relate with personal, inter-personal or societal meaning.

Immersive Education

  • Math: Students learn that mathematics is about: sense-making, flexible thinking, questioning, seeing and using patterns, problem solving, communicating, creative thinking about space, data, and numbers, making and analyzing connections and relationships.
    We believe each student is capable of making sense of mathematical ideas and is able to use understanding and reasoning to solve authentic mathematical and real world problems.
  • Science learning focuses on use of science and engineering practices used by those in the field, applying cross-cutting concepts across science disciplines, and fostering science knowledge. Students access this learning as they think critically about authentic situations.
  • Language: Students learn to communicate through creating, performing, responding, and connecting to words to ideas. We believe each student will use creative and critical thinking skills to communicate and engage with others creatively.
